Quick Start Guide: Verdigris M&V

Prerequisites

  • Active Verdigris Analytics subscription

  • EV2 gateway installed and configured

  • At least 1 week of baseline data collected

Getting Started in 3 Steps

Step 1: Select Your Measurement Boundary

  1. Navigate to the M&V feature in your dashboard

  2. Click "Select a building" from the dropdown

  3. Choose your measurement boundary:

    • For whole building (IPMVP C): Select building and click “Apply” (skip panel/breaker selection)

    • For specific equipment (IPMVP A/B): Select building, Select individual panels/breakers, and click “Apply

💡 Tip: Start with a single system or area to familiarize yourself with the process

Step 2: Define Analysis Periods

  1. Use the date picker to select:

    • Baseline period (before changes)

    • Reporting period (after changes)

  2. Ensure each period has:

    • Minimum 1 weeks of data

    • Similar operational patterns

    • Complete data coverage

💡 Tip: Choose baseline periods that represent normal operations

Step 3: Generate & Interpret Results

  1. Click "Run Analysis" to generate your report

  2. Review the generated insights:

    • Energy consumption comparison

    • Weather-normalized savings

    • Financial impact (if utility rate entered)

💡 Tip: Enter your utility rate to see cost savings calculations

Common Uses

  • Validating retrofit projects

  • Measuring operational changes

  • Documenting energy savings

  • Supporting efficiency programs

Troubleshooting

No Data Available?

  • Expand your date range

  • Check panel/breaker selection

  • Verify data collection status in Verdigris Admin Console (must have Building Admin or Account Owner roles to log in)

Slow Loading?

  • Normal for large date ranges

  • Try reducing analysis period

  • Check your internet connection

  • Screenshot and share results with stakeholders
