Previously, end-use configuration required navigating through different sections of the admin console. With our latest update of enhanced end-use attribution, managing and reporting energy data has become simpler and more contextualized.
This guide will walk you through using the enhanced end-use editing feature in the Admin Console and visualizing the end-use energy consumption in the Analytics dashboard.
Access the Hierarchy View
Log in to the Admin Console
Select the building: Choose the building you want to configure in the upper left drop-down menu.
Navigate to the Hierarchy tab: In the admin console, locate the "Hierarchy" section where the End-Use editing feature is now located.
Utilize Panel and Breaker Hierarchy
View Breaker Compositions: The enhanced panels display an overview of breaker end-use compositions, including labels and counts. This helps you understand the distribution and types of loads.
Identify Unlabeled End-Uses: Unlabeled end-uses are highlighted, making it easy to identify and update them.
Update Labels
Locate the “Edit End Use” Button: In the Hierarchy view, find and click the new “Edit End Use” button on the upper right corner.
Select the End-Use: Choose the end-use you want to edit from the panel view.
To prevent data duplication when reporting, changing an up-stream or down-stream end-use label will automatically update its parent label to “unlabeled” with an asterisk, indicating inherited changes.
Save Changes: Click "Save". To commit the new end use labels, you will be required to confirm the changes to all affected panels.
Tips for Effective Use
Leverage Hierarchy Views: Use the hierarchy views to better understand the context and relationships between different end-uses.
Monitor Unlabeled End-Uses: Frequently check for highlighted unlabeled end-uses to keep your data clean and reliable.
Custom End-Uses: To create custom labels, make a request to your Customer Success Manager or email support@verdigris.co
