Major Updates
Deconfigure a Panel
The new Deconfigure feature allows you to stop the Verdigris Energy Data Gateway (EDG) from collecting new data for a specific panel while preserving all historical data. This action is designed to provide flexibility in your system configuration without impacting past data, which remains accessible per the Data Retention Policy.
Modular Control: By deconfiguring a panel, you retain all historical data in the Verdigris system. If you need to reactivate data collection for this panel in the future, simply reconfigure the EDG as needed.
How to Deconfigure: Access this option by logging into the Verdigris Admin Console. Navigate to Configuration > Panel Actions > Danger Zone and click Deconfigure Data Gateway. Confirm the action by entering the panel name to prevent accidental deconfiguration.
This modular approach helps you manage system configuration changes without permanent data loss, ensuring continuity and flexibility.
Delete a Panel
The Delete function permanently removes all data associated with a panel, including historical data, circuit-breaker-panel relationships, and EDG configuration. Unlike deconfiguration, deletion is irreversible.
Permanent Data Removal: Choosing to delete a panel will deconfigure the EDG and erase all panel-related data from Verdigris systems.
How to Delete: To delete, go to the same Danger Zone in the Panel Actions menu, select Delete this panel, and confirm by entering the panel name to avoid accidental deletion.
Important: Only use the Delete option if you are certain that panel data is no longer needed, as this action is final and cannot be undone.
