No more data downtime due to SD card fail

Updated over 11 months ago

All Verdigris EV2 models use SD cards to enable data collection and prevents data downtimes during connectivity outages. However, SD cards can sometimes fail due to mechanical failures, data corruption, or unavailable capacity.

With this release, all installed and new EV2s are now updated with the ability to automatically route data using the internal embedded multi-media card (eMMC) during an SD card failure.

In parallel, the IoT Device Management Dashboard displays an “Undetected” flag, indicating that the impacted gateway requires an SD Card replacement.

Now, SD card failures automatically trigger will receive an over-the-air update for with the SD Card auto-fallback mode.

Replacements should be successfully completed within 2-3 weeks, to avoid future data interruptions. See How to replace a failing SD card? for instructions on replacement and success validation.
